King of Defenders Walkthrough
In King of Defenders, you take on the role of John Terry who is, as the name of the game implies, King of the Defenders. You goal is to score as many goals as you can throughout the tournament to come out on top. It's a pretty simple goal, but not always an easy one to accomplish. Like most of the other soccer games online, this one is played entirely with the mouse making the controls easy to understand and easy to use, but getting the hang of using them properly can take a little practice. This one is going to be difficult for newcomers to soccer games and more experienced players alike simply because it is so different from most of the other games in the genre. You aren't placed in front of the net with a ball at your feet and the goal keeper directly in front of you. In fact, you're not even going to be kicking the ball in this one. Instead, you're going to be using your head - literally. Headers are your method of scoring goals in this game which makes it not only unique but also more fun and sets this game apart from most of the other games in the genre. In reality, this game isn't much more difficult than a more traditional kind of soccer game but getting used to it when you first begin playing can prove to be a challenge.
Your guide in King of Defenders is the nerdy professor. Pay attention to what he tells you between levels and try your hardest to figure out how to implement the tips he gives you as you play the game. If you mess up, the professor gets mad and no one wants that. That man is not pleasant when he's mad. Although it can be frustrating to make mistakes and fail, it's almost inevitable in this game, even for the most skilled soccer game player. Try not to allow yourself to get too frustrated. If you get frustrated, you'll only make more mistakes. When you miss the net or fail to score a goal, try to remember what you did and figure out how you can correct the problem. Finding a good strategy is the key to beating this game and finding a good strategy means learning what works and what doesn't. Learn from what you do wrong. Aim is vital. You need to avoid the defenders blocking the goal which gets increasingly more difficult as you play. You can do it though. This is a game that can be beaten by anyone of any experience level as long as they are willing to practice and have a little patience.
The best way to do well in King of Defenders is to pay attention to the professor's instructions in the beginning of the game. Although he's basically just telling you how to play the game, there is some insight to be gleaned from his words. Look at the illustrations he draws on the chalkboard and see if you can formulate your strategy based on what he's drawn. Basically what you want to do is look at the marker as it travels along the arc and determine where the ball will go if you hit it from any given position. You don't have a lot of time so you'll have to think fast. As you play, it will get easier to figure out where the ball will go, but in the beginning, figuring out the path of the ball might be a bit difficult. Based on where the ball will travel from any given point, determine the best hit point. Remember, you are able to aim the ball so if there is no obvious hit point, look for the best possible option and figure out how you will have to aim your ball to get it in. Once you get the hang of how the game is played, it's really not all that difficult to beat. The biggest challenge is hitting every single shot. If you miss one, you'll lose and have to start over from the beginning. Luckily, the game is a lot of fun, so playing for the beginning again isn't really a big problem.
Overall, King of Defenders is a unique and entertaining soccer game that is perfect for any soccer game fan, regardless of skill or experience level. It is challenging but not impossible; offering a fair level of difficulty without feeling like it can't be beaten. As long as you pay attention to the professor and aim your shots carefully, you should be able to do fine in this game. The biggest challenge you'll face when first tackling this one is getting the hang of the controls and figuring out the best way to aim and time your shots. Give it a little time. It isn't really all that difficult and most players will be able to figure out how it's done with a few quick tries. Remember though, frustration is your enemy with this one. This isn't like most soccer games so don't treat it like it is. In the end though, just have fun with it. It's not a game that's meant to be taken seriously. This is a must play game for anyone who loves soccer games regardless of their skill or experience level.
