Rooney on the Rampage is a humorous soccer game where you control Wayne Rooney as he decimates other players with his devastating headbutt. This soccer game features simple controls, cartoon graphics, and action-packed gameplay. Those of you who are music connoisseurs (or fans of Pulp Fiction) may recognize Dick Dale's rendition of Miserlou playing as background music in the game.

The objective of Rooney on the Rampage is to headbutt opponents to clear them out of your path. Performing a perfect headbutt on an opponent will earn you fifty points and increase your speed. If you run into an opponent and fail to headbutt them, then you will lose the game.

Once you have headbutted enough opponents, you will have to score a goal. To score a goal in this soccer game, you will have to jump over a wall of defenders, then headbutt the goalkeeper into the net. A meter will appear to the right of the screen, indicating the angle of the your jump. Try to jump at at least a forty-five degree angle from the ground, higher if you have not built your speed up to maximum. If you clear the defenders and score the goal, then you will be victorious in this soccer game!

Rooney on the Rampage uses a simple one-button control scheme, making it perfect for casual gamers. You can choose to use the left mouse button or the spacebar to headbutt opponents. Timing is of great importance in this soccer game. If you headbutt too early or too late, then you will not score a great amount of points or gain a speed boost; you may also run the risk of being stopped by your adversaries! It may take a few plays before you get your timing right, but that is OK. The entire game can be completed in less than a minute, so practicing will not be time-consuming.
