Run Ronaldo Run places you in the role of famous Brazilian footballer, Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima. Run Ronaldo Run features humorous graphics, simple controls, and straightforward gameplay.

The goal of Run Ronaldo Run is to prevent Crespo (Hernan Crespo) from getting to the ball. Ronaldo seems to be getting a bit heavy, so you will have to avoid fatty foods such as hamburgers and sodas to avoid slowing down. Collecting golden shoes will also help Ronaldo to gain some speed. The game ends if Crespo passes Ronaldo and kicks the ball.

You may use either the keyboard or the mouse to control Run Ronaldo Run. When using the keyboard, the up arrow key jumps and the down arrow key ducks. If you elect to use the mouse, simply click above Ronaldo to make him jump and click below him to make him duck. Neither control scheme has a major benefit over the other, so use the one that you are most comfortable with.

Timing is crucial to your success in Run Ronaldo Run. Time your actions to leap over sodas and duck under hamburgers to avoid them. Each fast food item that Ronaldo eats will slow him down and cost you ten points. If you come across a pair of golden shoes, leap to collect them. These shoes will increase Ronaldo's speed as well as add ten points to your score. Be careful when jumping, however, because it is possible to leap over the ball and miss your kick. If this happens, Crespo will kick the ball and you will lose the game, regardless of how far ahead of Crespo you were!
