Soccer Shootout Walkthrough
Soccer Shootout is an engrossing and addictive team soccer game that challenges you to score the required number of goals before your time runs out. It's quite similar at its core to most of the other team soccer games online, but once you begin playing, you'll see it's actually quite a bit different. In this game, you basically only have your running and passing skills to try to your ball passed your opponent's defender and goal keeper which makes this game quite a bit more difficult than most of the other team soccer games online. Newcomers to the genre are probably going to find this one a bit too difficult as even the controls can be a bit complicated but more experienced players are going to love the challenge that comes with trying to learn the controls and get the ball into the net. It isn't a simple game despite it's rather simple premise. Once you've played a few times though, you'll get the hang of how the game is played and will be able to improve. If you stick with it, you can beat the game regardless of your skill or experience level with online soccer games. Newcomers shouldn't avoid this game just because it is a bit complex. While the game definitely rewards experience, beginners will gain that experience as they play, even if they have to lose several times in the process. Patience is a virtue and for those who are just starting out in the genre, patience is a virtue you need to have if you want to do well in this game.
The basic premise behind Soccer Shootout couldn't be simpler. Like most of the other soccer games online, your only real goal is to score as many points as you can by getting goals. The difference here is that there is a time limit and you have a set number of goals you need to get in order to progress to the next level. Those two little additions make the game a lot more challenging which in turn makes the game a lot more fun. The time limit and goal requirement are really the factors that set this game apart from the competition and make it more appealing to those who are tired of playing variations of the same game in a genre that doesn't often offer a lot of variety. The key element missing from the game is a limit on how many shots you can take at scoring on your opponent. You can shoot as many times as you can possibly shoot within the set amount of time. That's a great thing for someone who isn't having a lot of trouble getting the ball to the net but is finding it difficult to get passed the goal keeper. For most players, though, even getting the ball to the net is going to be a problem thanks to the defender. The defender is your opponent's player who will be trying to stay between you and the goal. The defender will try to steal your ball. If he is successful, it will be considered a missed shot and you'll have to begin again from the starting point.
The best way to do well in Soccer Shootout is to do everything you possibly can to avoid letting the defender steal your ball. Take advantage of the ability to pass the ball to your teammate. Passing isn't easy. You'll need to be quick and you'll need to time the pass well, but experience is king here. The more times you try to pass, the better you'll get at it. If you're a beginner, take the first level to practice passing. You don't need to score as many goals to progress to the next level and while you won't score as many points for the level, you'll sharpen the basic skills you need to do well later in the game. It's also a good idea to try to get ahead of the defender right away. If you can get ahead of the defender, you can usually stay ahead of him. You're able to control both of your players on the field to more easily pass the ball between players. Your active player is highlighted by a yellow half circle. Watch where that players is, but also watch where the second player is. If you want to pass to the second player to avoid having the ball stolen by the defender, move that second player into a good passing position before you even try to pass it. An open ball on the field is extremely easy for the defender to take control of. As soon as the pass is started, the active player will switch so make sure you're paying attention so you know when that switch takes place. You don't want to end up using the wrong keys to control the player.
Overall, Soccer Shootout is an addictive and engrossing team soccer game that any fan of the genre is going to love playing. Because you are able to control both of your players on the field and will occasionally need to be controlling both of your players, the controls can take a little getting used to. Give yourself a little time to get used to the controls before you really begin trying to win the game. This is an entirely beatable game but you'll have a much harder time doing so if you don't give yourself time to get the hang of the controls. This game can definitely be frustrating but it's well worth playing. The more you play the more you'll improve so stick with it and pay attention to what's happening on the field. It seems complicated but once you've run through a few levels, you'll see it really isn't. Whether you are a newcomer to online soccer games or a veteran player, this is a game you need to check out.
