The objective of Sports Heads: Football is to score as many goals against your opponent in a one-minute period, while preventing your opponent from scoring goals against you. This soccer game also features numerous powerups and powerdowns that will cause the goals to temporarily shrink or expand, freeze you or your opponent, or even cause a streaker to run across the field! These items are activated if the ball collides with them.

Sports Heads: Football has a simple concept, but it can be challenging. There are ten opponents to defeat, and the AI's difficulty increases with each match. To be a winner in this soccer game, it is important to always keep the ball between you and the goal. If the ball gets behind you, it is almost impossible to prevent it from rolling into your goal, and in trying to stop the ball, you may accidentally knock it into your own net, scoring a point for your opponent!

Another tip that may help you to master Sports Heads: Football is to use small, finely-controlled movements. Kicking the ball is usually not necessary, and you may find it easier just to spike the ball into your opponents goal. The only time that I found myself kicking the ball was when my opponent was very close to my player, and I wanted to arch the ball over him. This is a very risky maneuver, however, since there was a possibility that the ball would bounce off of my opponents and end up behind me, costing me a goal!
