World Cup Kicks Walkthrough
World Cup Kicks is a straightforward soccer game with simple controls. Since World Cup Kicks is so easy to control, it is an appropriate sports game for players of all ages.
The objective of World Cup Kicks is to lead your team to glory in the World Cup. There are thirty-two teams to choose from, each representing their respective nation. The team that you choose does not effect the gameplay of this soccer game, so you may choose your favorite team or the team that represents your country.
In order to bring your team to victory in World Cup kicks, you must beat the opposing team's score. You have a limited number of kicks (displayed in the lower-right corner of the screen) to score a higher amount of goals than the opposing team. If you manage to make it to the top two of your group, then you will continue on to the knockout stages of the World Cup, which are played similar to a round robin tournament. If you fail to place in the tournament, then this soccer game will be over for you.
If you tie in a tournament round, you will have one last chance to claim victory in a penalty shootout. Both teams gets five kicks, and the team with the most goals at the end of the shootout wins the match. Unfortunately, you cannot play as a goalkeeper to block the opposing team's attempts in this soccer game, and the results of your opponent's kicks are randomized.
World Cup Kicks utilizes a simple mouse control scheme. In order to control your kick, click on the meter in the lower-right corner of the screen. The first click controls the height of your kick, the second click controls the direction of the kick, and the final click controls the curvature of the kick. It is a good idea to kick the ball high enough to get it over defenders, but if you kick it to high, you will overshoot the goal completely. The direction and curvature of your kick may be used to avoid defenders and trick up the goalie. I have found that kicking the ball towards a corner of the goal while curving it towards the center of the goal is a good way to score in this soccer game. Just be sure to compensate for the direction and power of the wind!
World Cup Kicks is a simple soccer game appropriate for soccer fans of all ages. Play World Cup Kicks today and find out if you have what it takes to lead your team to victory in the World Cup!
